Almost there!

With the festivities less than 10 days away, it's now too late to get in on the dinner. Starr Pass had to have their numbers and money early, and that was all wrapped up as of yesterday.
But, if you still want to come to Happy Hour, please do, and invite all Badgers...all years are welcome.
Happy Hour at Maloney's Tavern starts at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 10. The dinner at Starr Pass starts with a cocktail hour at 6:00 p.m. the following evening, dinner at 7:00, and we have the facilities (with a DJ) until 11:00 that night.
Any other questions you might have should be answered by looking through earlier posts here, or on the Facebook "Classmates" page.
Malena, Susan and I are really looking forward to seeing everyone, and being able to enjoy the fruits of our labors. It has been a lot of work, but we know it'll be worth it!

Blazing IMPORTANT Tucson High Reunion News

Reservations for dinner at Marriott Starr Pass June 11, 2011 is now CLOSED

As of Friday, May 27th, we have to close off any more dinner guests. Those of you who have already made arrangements with Laurie about payment/attending, you're okay.

UNHOSTED COCKTAIL HOUR: 6 - 7 pm

DINNER SERVICE: 7 - 8 pm

CATCHING UP: 8 - 11 pm

PARTY ANIMALS: We'll figure it out!

The attire for the dinner is "dinner party" so whatever you feel comfortable and special in. The menu is Mediterranean inspired. If we don’t get a dinner choice from you, we’re picking Chicken for you.

The vibe will be grown up/lounge-like. Think LA-style
dress-up cocktail poolside party without the pool (or mega event budget with celebs LOL). We'll have a terrace and room with a view instead.

JW Marriott Starr Pass GROUP RATE discount deadline has passed, but I bet they will still honor the $112 ($126.62 with tax) per night. Call Marriott group reservations at 800-266-9432 and mention “Tucson High 1981"

Times!!

Oops, in case you missed the times for the events, the happy hour starts at 5:00 at Maloney's on Friday, June 10. We will be staking out plenty of space, get there when you can, and remember that you can pay for that at the door.

On Saturday, June 11, we will have cocktail hour from 6:00 to 7:00, and then move on to dinner. Starr Pass will not kick us out of there until 11:00, so plenty of time to schmooze and booze--if you need to party on after that...get a room! :)

A Happy Hour Reminder
If you are ONLY going to the June 10th Friday celebrations…then it’s $15. You can pay at-the-door (exact cash appreciated).

If you are going to the dinner also, then the Happy Hour is INCLUDED with what you’ve paid. THANKS FOR THE EARLY PAYMENTS…SERIOUSLY!!!

Dinner Payment Deadline
Laurie has set a NEW deadline of May 31st. Laurie’s on the East Coast and she has to pay the Marriott on that date. Plus, she’ll be enroute to Tucson and won’t be able to process payments once she hits Arizona soil. If you really want to come and need to work something out then please email Laurie via this blog.

Tucson High Class of 1981 – We’re on Facebook!

Me again, Susan Ham. We have a Facebook page for our class now.

Not much news this week because Malena, Laurie and I are BUSY working on the reunion. Yes, we have “Reunion Fatique”…but we want it to be nice even if it’s a small gathering. What’s not to like about beautiful new resort and a “room with a view”?

Now’s the time to say -- if you’ve been thinking about coming, then please send in a payment as we’re finalizing reunion plans and need to know who’s coming.

Sure you’re thinking we’re more than a month out, but trust me…there’s lots to do when it’s only three of us.
